10. Coulrophobia


Coulrophobia is an abnormal or exaggerated fear of clowns. It is not uncommon among children, but is also sometimes found in teenagers and adults as well. Sufferers sometimes acquire a fear of clowns after having a bad experience with one personally, or seeing a sinister portrayal of one in the media. The weird appearance of the clowns, swollen red noses and unnatural hair colors makes these persons look so mysterious and treacherous.

9. Genuphobia


Well, knees do look pretty weird I suppose... especially if you stare at them for too long. They're also the first bit of you to go green if you happen to be frolicking around in a field and can deliver an astonishingly painful blow to a man's sensitive areas. That said, I don't find them the least bit scary.

8. Pteronophobia


Pteronophobia is the irrational fear of being tickled by feathers. Certain childhood events, such as tickling a baby, can lead to this fear as the child may feel trapped. It is related to the fear of tickling.

7. Xanthophobia


Xanthophobia is a fear of the colour yellow. This fear may include the sun, daffodils, yellow paint, and the Yellow Pages.

6. Neophobia


Neophobia is the fear of new things or experiences. It is also called cainotophobia.
In psychology, neophobia is defined as the persistent and abnormal fear of anything new. In its milder form, it can manifest as the unwillingness to try new things or break from routine. Mild manifestations are often present in young children (who want the small portion of the world that they "know" to remain constant) and elderly people





5. Philematophobia


It seems some people find the idea of lips on lips completely intolerable, while others are afraid of having their tongues bitten off. Some are scared about picking up bacteria from someone else's filthy cakehole.


4. Pentheraphobia


An exaggerated or irrational fear of mother-in-law.

3. Ephebiphobia


The fear of youth is called ephebiphobia. First coined as the "fear and loathing of teenagers," today the phenomenon is recognized as the "inaccurate, exaggerated and sensational characterization of young people" in a range of settings around the world. Studies of the fear of youth occur in sociology and youth studies.

2. Ithyphallophobia


Ithyphallophobia is a phobia that speaks about the fear of seeing, having or even thinking about an erect penis. This unwarranted fear jeopardizes the sexual lifestyle of the men and women who suffer from it. Ithyphallophobic people try their best to avoid anything that is sexual; they fear to take "sex" as a part of life.

1. Arachibutyrophobia


And now for the final one...fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth. If you are victim of this phobia, then you will definitely try to shun situation where you will be compelled to eat peanut butter.But prior to understanding the intensity of this phobia, it is more important to understand what is phobia.
