Festival of Speed at Goodwood, which is traditionally held in the UK - a real holiday for motorists. Thousands of people come here to get acquainted with the historical models and innovations leading automakers, to witness the demonstration rides stars of motorsport, as well as gawk at the incredible sculptures of cars, which each year builds a Gerry Judah (Gerry Judah).
Enormous sculptures, a mandatory element of which will certainly be one or several cars, Gerry Judah surprises the audience that's already thirteen years old. During this time he managed to create works with models such automotive giants as Ferrari, Porsche, Audi, Jaguar, Mercedes Benz, Renault, Ford, Rolls-Royce, Honda, Toyota, Land Rover and Alfa Romeo.
Cars for projects the author provides, of course, the companies-producers. However, in this their role ends there. "Naturally, they all want to get something exciting and enhance their sales, but they do not take the patronage of sculptures and give me complete freedom, allowing you to do what I want" - says Gerry Judah.
According to the author, he is interested in ambulances from the perspective of an artist than a driver or a lover of high speeds. Appearance and shape of machinery for the sculptor is more important than their ability and performance. "Often during conversations with customers I do not have a clue about cars, which they discuss" - admits Jerry.
Gerry Judah was born in 1951 in Calcutta (India), and ten years of age living in the UK. Sculpture - not only the author's fascination with the second aspect of his creative activities - painting.
